WORKER
THE FAMILY SUPPORT PROJECT WORKER WILL WORK WITH CHILDREN, YOUNG
PEOPLE AND FAMILIES REFERRED TO NYP THROUGH A SERIES OF TARGETED
INDIVIDUAL, GROUP PROGRAMMES AND INTERVENTIONS.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
_ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS_
* A recognised third level qualification in social care/youth
work/family support or related discipline
* Experience of working with young people and families, preferably
in a community based setting
* Knowledge, empathy and understanding of social exclusion and its
impact on individuals and families in the wider community
_SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES_
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Good leadership, facilitation and group work skills
* Knowledge and understanding of programme planning and delivery in
line with funding requirements
* Knowledge of evidence based programmes e.g. parenting, family
support
* Ability to understand and maintain professional boundaries
* Ability to plan, implement and evaluate programmes based on
emerging needs
* Excellent administration, time management and report writing
skills
* Excellent IT skills including Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook
* Excellent team work experience
_Flexible working hours as evening work is required_
